They convey the essence of the home that the client has dreamed of and the designer has imagined. Because construction can be a stressful time, many clients have used these studies to remind themselves that their dream home will soon come to fruition.

Great Lakes Cottage This lake front property on Lake Huron in Port Austin, Michigan has been enjoyed by the family for several generations. The old fishing trailer was removed and a new home was built to allow them to enjoy the breath-taking views from a comfortable and relaxed setting. Modern Lake Home Views and sunlight are generous from the interior and fully expressed on the exterior with its expansive glass. This home, located in the lake community of Fenton, Michigan, was transformed from a standard ranch with a functional walkout to become a 2-1/2 story modern lighthouse among its neighbors.
Small Town Life Located downtown, in the small midwest of Fenton, Michigan, this second story addition and renovation project will not only provide much needed space for a growing family, but it also infuses character into a basic ranch style home.

Vintage Boathouse doubles as Family Hangout Located on the crystal clear waters of Silver Lake in Fenton, Michigan, this site had all the right conditions to place this rare gem. At water-level a vintage boat is housed and at ground level family and friends gather to partake of the wonderous views and cool breezes off the lake. This structure is topped off by a glass lantern that beckons the boat home at night.
Revitalizing a 70's Ranch This project, set in the rural community of Hartland, Michigan, features a first floor master suite addition, equipped with a changing room for pool guests. It also inlcudes a 2nd floor artist loft above with an overlooking poolside balcony. The facade needed character so we proposed removing the existing vinyl siding to reveal the underlying board & batten that was more in character with the cottage theme that they were looking for.
English Cottage in Pristine Setting We disguised this home to have the look of a two story with the ease of having the main living space on one floor at the homeowner's request. She brought a portfolio filled with eye-catching details that formed the character of the home. He brought a tractor—and a vision that turned a wooded lot into an open rolling landscape. Midwest Greenhouse Sun Room This sunroom addition allows light to flood into a winter greenhouse, while also serving as a warm bird-watching space during the cold midwest winter months.
